Outcomes and Value
Understanding and eradicating the issues which confronted the first stage of the GCLR was critical for a timely delivery and opening for the Commonwealth Games. By understanding the issues and designing out the problems, along with good background measurement, led to the successful delivery of the project. Our approach to stakeholder management ensured that key stakeholders understood the issues and were supportive of the solutions, particularly between the interface of 25kVAC and the DC system. The addition of 1000 car Park n Rides and an overbridge added great value to the core use of the system extension. This along with the interconnection with the main line train service to Brisbane at Helensvale supported the overall passenger experience and outcome. The project was delivered within the timeframe required, for the Commonwealth Games opening.
