Crossrail Pudding Mill Lane
London
Pudding Mill lane is an integral component of Crossrail, one of the most significant infrastructure projects undertaken in the United Kingdom.
AECOM provided a full range of multi-disciplinary services including the design of the cut and cover tunnel, widened embankments, new bridges, retaining walls, diversion of the existing Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and reconstruction of Pudding Mill Lane DLR station. These different interfaces required innovative design features.
We also provided expert environmental advice for the relocation of the DLR tracks and station. This included construction noise assessments and operational impacts which involved the twin tracking of a section adjacent to the station. Our team worked with a range of stakeholders to secure planning, environmental and traffic consents.
The station is close to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and brings together existing Network Rail lines, the Docklands Light Railway and Crossrail.
