Victoria Station is one of the busiest multi-modal transport interchanges in London and a principal National Rail gateway. Congestion of the Underground station was severe and expected to worsen with forecast demand growth.
Our role included the provision of design and planning services, as well as managing specialist subcontractors for key elements of the design. The complex design work involved the development of options, ensuring their buildability, maintaining operability of the two underground lines and providing best value schemes.
We provided services up to the scheme development stage for a new ticket hall, existing hall extension and interconnecting passenger tunnels as part of Victoria’s major upgrade aimed at reducing congestion.
