Amer leads our Middle East Urbanism + Planning practice. He is a strategic planner and urban designer with a background in architecture and more than 20 years’ experience in the region. He first moved to London, UK, to support our work on the award-winning Saadiyat Island master plan, London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games masterplan and Rawabi sustainable community in Ramallah. Upon returning to the Middle East in 2009, Amer worked on city, community development, urban regeneration, and strategic planning studies, among them the award-winning Dubai Expo 2020 Urban Planning and Public Realm project where he led the bidding, planning and delivery stages. In addition, Amer sits on our global ESG and Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) steering committees to embed sustainable development and resilience across our work and promote an inclusive and diverse working environment.
