Rodrigo is an urban designer with professional experience in sports architecture and urban design. He is currently a member of the AECOM Building + Places team in Los Angeles, CA where he leads the design and documentation for the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games. Before relocating to the United States, Rodrigo worked on the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic and legacy masterplan, focusing on the design elements and requirements for competition venues from early stages to construction. He is skilled in technical coordination, project development, and as a team leader, and has knowledge in space and operational requirements for Olympic Games, IOC manuals and International Federations’ rules and regulations. Rodrigo led the design team on the legacy transformation concept of the permanent venues of the Rio 2016 Olympic Park into an educational and sporting complex.
