When complete, the newly redesigned 22 Bishopsgate, previously known as The Pinnacle will be the tallest building in the City of London.
Working closely with Lipton Rogers Developments and AXA Real Estate, we've given London’s skyline a fresh new addition. The proposed office tower has been redesigned by PLP Architecture and seeks to create a building that takes a fresh look at how workspaces function today, integrating a range of social spaces. The building ties together and acknowledges the heights of surrounding towers, whilst providing a dominant feature in the skyline.
A vertical village concept extends throughout the building, delivering a variety of amenity space, such as, incubator working, a gym, restaurant and bar. Offering the highest sight lines across London, the viewing gallery on the upper levels will allow free access to the public.
The scheme will meet the needs of City and relate to the public, increasing the amount of office floor space by 1.4 million square feet, across 62 storys and accommodating up to 12,000 people and 100 companies.
At 278 meters, just shy of the Shard, 22 Bishopsgate will be the first tall building for our employer’s representatives. The building also contains a three story basement, housing cycle facilities and retaining part of the previous Pinnacle scheme. This complex interface provides many logistical and engineering challenges and risks to manage such as NATS, Rights of Light, S.278, S.106, party wall matters and various project agreements.
