Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP) is leading the transformation of their electricity grid and resource systems to meet the City of Los Angeles' goal of 100 percent renewable energy by 2035. We are partnering with LADWP as they prepare to deliver $80 billion in clean energy programs effectively and efficiently. Empowered by the mandate to provide affordable, equitable, and reliable clean energy to all LADWP customers, we are developing an Integrated Human Resources Plan (IHRP) to realize this transition. The IHRP standardizes work to full-time equivalent forecasting methodology across the 15 divisions that comprise their Power Systems group. Focused on recruiting, retention, career development, tenure, and turnover, the IHRP will be used as a roadmap for Power Systems to help determine the appropriate level of staffing each year as well as identify the gap between present and future capabilities and capacities. In addition to a global benchmarking study on clean energy organizational development, IHRP outlines guidance on implementation planning, including recommendations for outsourcing, outreach with internal and external stakeholders, and an approach to change management.
