The new National Cancer Center (NCC) is located on the Outram Medical Campus on the site of the existing Pathology building close to Outram Mass Rapid Transit station. NCC is a catalyst for the overall re-development of the campus master plan. It forms part of one of the earliest phases of the development and will be a prominent gateway building at the new entrance.
The 92,000 square meter National Cancer Center includes specialty oncology clinics, oncologic imaging, chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment centers, operating theaters with intraoperative radiotherapy, brachytherapy rooms, research facilities, GMP labs, critical social support facilities, integrated therapies, offices and staff facilities.
The Center also houses the largest Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) facility in Southeast Asia. The new outpatient medical center has been envisioned to provide a range of medical, educational and research activities within a single institutional building, enabling a multi-disciplinary approach to diagnosis and treatment. The building will become a global magnet to attract the best healthcare professionals and researchers worldwide. It will also support the Center to become renowned as a thought leader in cancer care, promoting knowledge sharing and leading in the development of translational research practices where laboratories can swiftly bring cutting edge treatment to the patient care setting.
