Sustainable development, implementation of smart and digital technologies, as well as active placemaking are at the core of the Saigon Sports City (SSC), where we provided consultancy services for master planning and sustainability.
SSC is a pioneer project developed by Keppel Land and Keppel Urban Solutions. This first-of-its-kind sports-oriented township is located on a 64-hectare site in Ho Chi Minh and will feature around 4,300 premium homes and extensive facilities such as a one-stop lifestyle hub for sports, entertainment, shopping and dining offerings, as well as pedestrian-friendly public spaces such as a waterfront boulevard and a multi-purpose town plaza. It adopts biophilic design principles, featuring natural cross-ventilation throughout the area, generous space between buildings for natural light, a contiguous fitness circuit, lush landscaping with locally sourced flora and picturesque water features with natural filtration.
We are set to provide a wide range of services focused on the project's sustainability. This includes benchmarking SSC development parameters against certification schemes in sustainable development; proposing practical smart and sustainable KPIs and mapping out the journey to achieve these standards; recommending other nature-based, centralized, passive or active district level solutions; recommending smart or digital solutions; conducting cost benefit analysis for the recommended solutions; and integrating work of all disciplines to deliver a comprehensive and holistic SSC Smart & Sustainable Development Plan.
