Highlighting the value of our integrated approach to developing fiscally responsible infrastructure investments, our team was engaged by Athletics and campus leadership to create an approach to drive comprehensive improvements across the university’s portfolio of competition and training facilities. A key component of our work was the revisioning of the campus master plan by revisiting transportation and land planning assumptions to better align with the common goals of athletics and academics. A new arena development allowed for shared investment in parking infrastructure, improved operations for campus transit shuttles, and improved pedestrian experience.
Our work required strategic business planning for each facility, identifying improvements which would improve the efficiency of operations, create new sustainable revenue streams for the athletics department, and assist the athletic foundation in the sequencing of capital necessary for implementation of the plan. We were retained to complete comprehensive improvements to the Manning Center (football operations facility), creation of the Sandy & John Black Pavilion, athletics parking and television broadcast compound, and comprehensive improvements to Vaught Hemingway Stadium. These projects were all delivered simultaneously within the established cost and revenue projections identified by our team. The resulting collection of components created a unified image and more efficient operations for Ole Miss Athletics, creating over $40M in incremental value.
