The first Integrated Urban Drainage Modelling Guide was published by CIWEM’s Urban drainage Group in 2009. However, modelling technologies and good practice have advanced considerably in the last ten years, spurring CIWEM and the Environment Agency to issue revised guidance.
Working with Richard Allitt Associates, we're bringing the industry standard guidance on Integrated Urban drainage up to date to take account of advances in technology and good practice, particularly with the impact of multi-agency partnership approaches to flood risk. Covering a wide range of experience and resources, the project consists of several workshops with the industry designed to identify and address key surface water management issues.
The refreshed guide will provide guidance for delivering holistic solutions to complex flooding problems, as well as advice for implementing integrated modelling tools.
The updated guide is due to be released in mid-2020.
