The Flood and Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) capital programme (2021/22-2026/7) will deliver flood protection to 336,000 properties in the UK - double the size of the previous programme. An increase in scale and pace requires improved productivity from the integrated Environment Agency and supplier delivery teams set up under the Next Generation Supplier Arrangements (NGSA). The current infrastructure and technologies did not meet the requirements of the increased size and scale of the programme.
Work done and value provided:
The project will improve collaboration and co-ordination between teams and partners to ensure the optimal set of resources and services are provided to meet the demands of the FCRM programme. Over the 6 years of the programme, the proposed Office 365 enhancements will deliver 3 main solutions:
• Office 365 applications to support NGSA workspace and workflow needs for effective collaboration • Office 365 reporting and data management to meet PMO requirements and support by Microsoft Azure Data Warehouse • An architecture configured to support Environment Agency and partner access and collaboration management and enabling the integration of systems and data within an Office 365 user environment.
