Tackling ‘forever chemicals’ with DE-FLUORO™
A world-first economically and environmentally sustainable treatment technology that destroys PFAS
A world-first, sustainable, cross-industry treatment technology
In response to concerns about perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) being released into the environment, we developed a technology that breaks down the so-called ‘forever chemicals’. DE-FLUORO™ is a world-first, economically and environmentally sustainable treatment technology that destroys PFAS from contaminated liquids.
Using electrochemical oxidation, it can be coupled with non-destructive technologies, or as a stand-alone onsite destruction technology.
Turning the tide on a toxic future
Testing in real world conditions, our program shows that DE-FLUORO™ is an effective PFAS destructive technology across a range of industry sectors, varied waste streams and extensive ranges of PFAS concentrations.
This includes government, aviation, oil & gas and industrial, as well as remediation water treatment. Concentrations of PFAS evaluated to date have ranged from 27 parts per billion, to in excess of 6,000,000 parts per million, and included PFAS-impacted surface and groundwater, remediated wastewater and fire-fighting foam.
100 percent PFAS-free in sight
The results speak for themselves:
- DE-FLUORO™ treats both measurable and unmeasurable PFAS compounds
- DE-FLUORO™ destroyed between 98–100 percent of all regulated PFAS mass in 75 percent of samples treated
- DE-FLUORO™ destroyed between 90–100 percent of the total PFAS mass in the majority of samples treated
- DE-FLUORO™ treats solutions composed of a range of PFAS compound signatures, including solutions containing a mixture of, or dominated by, sulfonic acids, carboxylates, sulfonamides and fluorotelomers
- The effectiveness of DE-FLUORO™ is not limited by PFAS concentration nor the presence of other contaminants (organic or inorganic)
